Children’s Hospital Affinity Group Educational Call (October 2019)

  • Registration Closed

Time: 12:00-12:45 PM Eastern (45 minutes)
Format: Educational Call
Topic: This is a membership education call put on by the Children's Health Affinity Group. The topic will be around chaperone policies in pediatric settings

The #MeToo movement, a movement against sexual assault and harassment, has many implications for the health care provider. Among them is informed consent in the context of a pediatric physical exam. And, how to respond to allegations of inappropriate touching involving a pediatric patient and his or her provider. This membership call will explore the risks and best practices associated with performing physician exams and offering treatment to children. The speakers will specifically discuss chaperone policies and how to response to allegations of impropriety made against providers. As will all CHAG membership calls, we will open up with high level comments from your CHAG leaders about what is going on within the group and how you can get involved.

Note: No CLE offered for this course.
