The webinar will delve into the tax laws and regulations driving the corporate structure of modern health care systems. The webinar will start with a focus on public charity, supporting organization, and private foundation classification rules and how this often determines the structure of a health care system’s exempt activities. The webinar will also address the entity structures charitable health care systems use to engage in unrelated business activities. Finally, the webinar will address frequent tax issues that arise in common health care system transactions, such as affiliations and acquisitions. Throughout the webinar, the speakers will provide real world examples to illustrate important legal concepts.
